Can you point us to a help on how to install the GD library?

I'm under the Unix Darwin of Mac Os X, I use to install Unix packages, waiting for mac developers to buid more automatized ones.

GD does not comes with plain Mac Os X -not server- (or I can't find it, and it does not works indeed;-(
